Morty was pulled from an overcrowded shelter where he faced euthanasia due to a severe lack of space. We actually went to pull another dog, but when we saw little Morty and how scared he was there, he really tugged our heartstrings... and we just couldn't leave him behind! (Who could resist those puppy dog eyes?!)

Morty is a very sweet boy, and quickly warms up to new people. He enjoys giving gentle kisses in exchange for being rubbed and petted, and he absolutely LOVES curling up in his person's lap for belly rubs! He is a wonderful, mellow and happy little dog that will make someone an excellent companion!

Morty loves going to walks and getting to sniff all the exciting smells outside. He is great on lead, and will happily trot next to you without pulling!

Morty is crate-trained and housebroken. He doesn't seem to know any basic commands, but he loves getting treats so he should be easy to train with positive reinforcement! He is not a yappy dog at all, and is very quiet and low-key in the house. He is great with other dogs (large or small!) and completely ignores cats.

Morty is approx. 4 years old, weighs 8lbs. and will be fully vetted and microchipped prior to adoption!
