Meet Hobbes! He is super friendly and loves to play, play, play!
Please be sure to to do some research on the boxer breed. Many people have misconceptions about them. They need attention - and as adults, may be picky with which doggie friends they hang out with.
Boxers are a bright, energetic and a playful breed and tend to be very good with children. They are active dogs and require adequate exercise to prevent boredom-associated behaviors such as chewing or digging. Boxers have earned a slight reputation of being "headstrong," which can be related to inappropriate obedience training.
**Update 02/07/09: Hobbes went to the vet today and he has some scarring in both eyes. One is so bad, he may not be able to see out of it. We are going to wait to adopt him out until we know the severity of them, and how his treatment is working.
**02/14/09 - Hobbes went back for a one week check up on his eyes. There was improvement in them, but unfortunatly, the vet says it will take a few months to determine how things may turn out. He still has so much scarring in his right eye that the vet said he may not be able to see out of it (you would never know that by how he acts). Please be aware of these issues when you apply.
