**** UPDATE 4/19/09 Olive is walking much more- she is up on all 4 legs and walks from room to room.... she is improving daily! She will be ready for adoption in May- she might never go on mile long walks but is doing so good! She will be adopted to a home with no children under 12 and only other sedate, mellow dogs as she cannot play hard with another puppy or small dogs.
****UPDATE 4/9/09 We took Olive to the vet today because she was having trouble walking- the vet thinks she might have a neurological disorder and at this point, we are not able to offer Olive for adoption. We have to monitor Olive to see how she progresses as she grows. We will continue to update Olive's condition. We have posted a video of Olive doing her water therapy.************
Olive is an adorable mini doxie pup. She was surrendered from a puppymill because she has an overbite- but we just thinks it makes her look even cuter. My 7 year old son adores her and is always playing with her and then she falls asleep on his lap- she is a VERY sweet puppy.
Olive has had 2 puppy shots and been wormed- she will be spayed prior to adotion.
Olive will be ready to go home on April 25th. Her adoption fee is $300.00 and she is being fostered in Olmsted Falls, OH.
Please NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is a puppy mill survivor we ask that you first read our page that explains more of what is involved in adopting a mill dog. Yes, we adopt out of state, however you MUST be willing to pick up your pet at the foster home. We do NOT ship any of our pets, please do not ask. If interested in adding this wonderful pet to your family please first review Adoption Information and procede to complete the online application. As our gift to you for adopting a rescued pet, all of NLOL's adoptable pets are sent home with a FREE 30 day Sheltercare insurance policy.
