About Valentine | |
|
Valentine is a 4 month old German shepherd puppy that was surrendered to us on Valentine's Day after she was attacked by another dog in her previous home. She did suffer multiple lacerations and a broken jaw, but is now fully recovered and ready to find her forever home!
Val is a pretty typical GSD; smart, playful, sassy, and sweet. She loves to express herself and will let everyone know what she's thinking! Due to her history, she is a little reserved when meeting new dogs for the first time, but with proper introductions, she warms up pretty quickly. Once friends, she'll play for hours! She'll also happily entertain herself with a toy or bone.
Val is being fostered in a home with cats, and is playful but submissive with them.
True to her breed, Val is always down for a good game of fetch! We also recently discovered that this girl LOVES to swim!
Valentine is doing very well with crate training, and is making progress on potty training as well. She's still learning though, so her new family should be prepared to continue working with her on puppy basics.
Val can be a little anxious in new situations, which her foster family is working on. Prior GSD experience and a fenced in yard are strongly preferred for adoption. Prior dog ownership is required.
Valentine is 4 months old, is currently around 26 lbs, and we guesstimate that she'll be around 60 lbs or so when fully grown. She's microchipped, dewormed, current on her puppy vaccine series, and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Her adoption also includes her spay, which is scheduled at the end of April!
Her adoption fee is $450.
