Velma is a 9 month old Great Dane/Mastiff mix that we took in as an emaciated stray. Thankfully all this sweet girl needed was some TLC and groceries to be healthy and happy! 

Velma did have a condition called cherry eye when we rescued her, where the tear duct sticks out over the eyelid. We had this corrected at the time of her spay, but she may always have a little bit of her third eyelid peeking out. This is purely cosmetic, and we think it adds to her adorably good looks! 

Velma can be a little nervous in new situations and meeting new people, which isn't unusual considering her breed mix, so we've been working on building her confidence in addition to her basic training and manners. She's a food motivated smarty pants who loves to please, so she's a quick study, but she may always be a little shy when encountering strangers. Once she warms up though, she's just an XL goofball!

Velma loves car rides and taking walks, making big woofs when playing, romping in the yard, and chewing on sticks. She's a self proclaimed lap dog, and won't be convinced otherwise! She's an excellent cuddler who has zero concept of her size, so be prepared! She's great with other dogs, and lives with cats in her foster home without issue. Her ideal home would be one with a fenced yard, and kids over the age of 8. Breed experience strongly preferred for her adoption.  

Velma is 9 months old, currently 90 lbs, and will likely be over 100 lbs when fully grown. She's crate and house trained, knows basic commands, and is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. 

Her adoption fee is $450.
