I found a purebred male Chow Chow running loose in the Akron area on 12/19/10.  He has not been reported missing and does not have tags or a microchip.  He is a young dog, has a red coat, black tongue, blue collar, is not neutered, and is about 40 lbs.  His hair was very matted when I found him, (he has since been brushed and is a very handsome boy!), and was quite thin.

This is one of the sweetest and most well behaved dogs I have ever been around!  He is potty trained and knows basic commands and some tricks.  I would consider keeping him but I already have two large male dogs and cannot afford another. Chow Chow gets along fairly well with my dogs, however, he would do best in a home with submissive dogs as he prefers to be the "alpha."  He is great with people, and I do not have the heart to take such a wonderful dog to the animal warden!

Age: seems young, still has white teeth

Size: medium, about 40 lbs.

Medical: not neutered, has not been to vet since he’s been with us

Temperament:  loves people, is good with kids, well behaved, very affectionate, no food guarding issues, let me cut mats out of his hair and brush him w/o any problems.  He has not been around any cats since he has been with us.

Training/tricks: potty trained, knows sit, stay, lay down, shake/paw, ball, bed

Likes/dislikes:  prefers a home with submissive dogs, loves riding in car, playing in snow, playing fetch
