Dora is an adorable American Bulldog/Boxer mix (gotta love that underbite!) that was rescued from death row at a city shelter. This girl is an absolute sweetheart - her rough start to life certainly didn't dampen her spirits at all! She is currently being fostered in a home with young children, dogs and cats without any issues at all. =)
"Hi, my name is Dora, I am approx. 1.5 - 2 years old. My Foster Mom says that I am one of the best dogs ever! I live in a home with other dogs and cats, a bunny and a couple of hamsters too! Our house is pretty busy, but I don't mind either way. I like to play ball with my brothers and sisters and the other fur kids too. I love to go for walks. But I am just as happy sitting with them on the couch, or I can make myself real small and sit in the chair with my Dad, that is my favorite place!
I mind my manners and will never take food off the table or counter surf. I won't steal food from my young brother either, he is only 3, and sometimes walks around the house with food in his hand, I really want to take it from him, but my Foster Mom or Dad will tell me to "leave it" and I know that means I should not take his treats. The cats have a food bowl on the dresser in the bedroom, and I can get it if I want to, but they tell me to "leave it" too, so I can't eat the cat food either! When I do get treats, I sit like a good girl, and take them real easy, that makes my family happy and they tell me I am a good girl.
I do go in a kennel if I have too, but I usually just blend in with the family. I used to sleep in the kennel, but then I showed them I won't have accidents in the house, so I only go in the kennel to eat my dinner. I will ask to go potty out side, so my Foster Mom says that means I am housebroken.
I am hoping I will find a family who loves me as much as my Foster Family does, I am a good girl and I hope I can find a new family that might even have kids to love and play with too. Check out the application and fill one out so you can come and visit with me, I would love to meet you! See you soon, Dora."
Dora is approx. 1.5 - 2 years old, and is currently 52lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm negative and on monthly flea/heartworm preventative.
Her adoption fee is $175.
