Quinn- now named ZOEY by her foster family- is not ready for adoption. This is Zoey- we took her from a pet store who bought her from a puppy mill, but then realized that she has a problem with her back legs.
She does not walk on them, but rather walks like a seal. We will be taking her to the vet to see what the problem is and what can be done- we will update when we have more information.
UPDATE**** 6/15/08 ZOEY WENT TO THE VET TODAY. HER LEGS ARE NOT FORMED CORRECTLY. THE X-RAYS SHOWED THERE IS A LARGE SPACE BETWEEN THE 2 BONES IN HER LEGS WHERE HER KNEES SHOULD BE. AT THIS POINT THE VET THINKS THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS- SHE DOES GET ALONG FINE AND RUNS ALL THROUGH THE YARD AND HOUSE. SHE WEIGHED 1 POUND, 13 OUNCES. BECAUSE OF HER TINY SIZE- SHE CANNOT BE APYED FOR 4 -6 MORE WEEKS. THE VET ALSO WANTS TO DO MORE X-RAYS AT THIS TIME. IF YOU HAVE LOVE IN YOUR HEART FOR A ITTY BITY BABY WITH A "DIFFERENT" KIND OF WALK, PLEASE CHECK BACK IN 4 WEEKS AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR ZOEY AT THAT TIME.
