Darla is a great little dog that came to us after being found as a stray. How no one was looking for her is beyond us - she's the perfect pup! She's absolutely adorable, (who doesn't love those polka dots?!?), is a great medium size at 32lbs., is sweet, mellow, gentle, and quiet, loves attention but isn't demanding, is happy to entertain herself with toys, has impeccable house manners, gets along with all living things, (2 and 4 legged), and does great in the car and on walks. She's been the world's easiest foster dog and we have yet to find any faults!!
Darla loves to be around people, but is not a needy dog at all. She loves to chase toys if you toss them for her and enjoys pets and giving kisses, but she is also content to play by herself or curl up and take a nap. She has a goofy streak and will sometimes toss her stuffed animals around, roll on her back and zoom around the house with a big smile on her face! For the most part though she is very mellow and easy to have in the house. She gets along fabulously with everyone she meets, is great with other dogs and completely ignores cats.
Despite being a Beagle mix, she does not have a hound dog bray nor does she bark much at all. (Although she will let you know if someone is at the door!) In fact, she's so quiet, sometimes you almost forget that she's in the house!
Darla is 100% housetrained and crate trained too. She does well loose in the house though, and her foster family will only crate her when they're going to be away for extended periods of time. She knows how to sit, but needs work on other basic commands. She knows not to get up on furniture and won't even attempt to jump up on couches or beds. She is pretty much the perfect pup and will make an amazing addition to any home/family!!!
Darla is currently 32lbs., is approx. 5 years old and is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and on monthly flea/heartworm preventative.
Her adoption fee is $175.
