Skye is a 4 year old miniature Poodle that came into our rescue from a puppy mill. Her condition was absolutely appalling when she first arrived - her fur was completely matted and hung off of her in long, dirty dreadlocks. It took over an hour to shave all of the knotted and filthy hair off, and in the process we discovered that she was missing half of her left ear. It seems most likely that it was intentionally cut off, because the line is straight and clean; not ragged like you would expect if it was torn or bitten by another dog.

As sad as her start to life was, Skye is a happy, quiet little dog. She loves to cuddle and kiss her foster mom, and is slowly starting to come out of her shell. She gets along well with other animals, and has discovered the joys of being loved and having toys!

We're so happy to have Skye in our rescue, and out of such a neglectful situation. She’s a sweet girl, who deserves a long, wonderful life as someone’s pampered pooch!
